Tico house in Costa Rica
Varieties of Flamingo Beach Real Estate are found in Costa Rica. It may include resorts, bungalows, apartment, houses, villas and condos. But can you ever think of a small Tico house?
Yes! These Tico houses were present in Flamingo Beach Marina. These houses were made from bricks, mud, grass, and sugarcane waste. Roof tiles made by workman with soft clay were used in these houses. Windows were made of hardwood found in the forests.
Two decades ago, these traditional Tico houses in Flamingo Beach Costa Rica were supplied with electricity, sewer drainage, and running water. Some of these were well equipped and luxurious like the one found in North America.
Bars- Bars were used in windows and doors were made up of iron for the safety of valuable. But these bars were considered to be part of tradition. It was used as an indication of private property
Noise-noise was quite common from neighborhoods. It can be kids playing, or music blaring or any other noise activity.
No hot water-availability of hot water was very limited. Warm water was sometime available in showers. Clothes washing and other day to day activities were done with cold water.
Bath tubs-There was no bath tub available in Tico houses of Costa Rica. If you have to soak yourself, you have to rent a room in hotel or visit area around hot water springs.
Telephones- some houses were well equipped with this facility as it was a hot spot
in the past.
Entertainment-for entertainment, fishing from Flamingo Beach Marina was given importance.
